Chemise Pattern, step 1-taking measurements

Begin by having someone else take three basic measurements:

A-Length that you wish the chemise to be (mid calf, ankle etc.)

B-Length from neck to the back of the underarm.

C-Length that you wish the arm to be.

If in doubt overestimate to measurements by an inch or two!

Also remember to add seam/hem allowance.

Chemise Pattern, step 4-sewing the garment.

Step I-Lay body(I) and sleeves (II) as in the image to the left.

Step II-Sew garment together where triangle bases meet (this will form the armholes of garment).

Step III-You may need to round out the neck line of garment.

Step IV-Apply any trim before the seams are sewn.

Try the garment on to make sure it fits and no other adjustments need to be made.

HemmingChemise Pattern-step 5-hemming the garment.

Step I-Fold the garment so it looks like the image to the left.

Step II-Sew seams long the black dotted line.

Step III-You will be using drawstrings in the neck and the sleeve hems, sew two buttonholes where the drawstrings will be exiting the hem.

Step IV-Then roll hem along the red dotted line
