Mongols Pattern, step 1-taking measurements Begin by having someone else take four basic measurements:

Mongol Pattern, step 2-cutting the basic length. Step I-cut two pieces of fabric the length of measurement "B" plus 3" inches. Step II-fold both pieces salvage edges together.

Step I-with the fabric pieces folded together, the measurement of "E" is as follows: "E" = D + 1/4 measurement of A plus at least three inches For example:

Mongol Pattern Step 4-marking and cutting the crotch In this step we will be tracing the basic shape of the crotch using measurements C and D. Step I-Marking the Blue "X"-measuring across, from the top corner of the non-fold edge of fabric, mark the length of "D" (4"). Step II-Marking the Red "X"-measuring down from the top corner of non-fold edge of fabric mark the 1/2 the length of "C" plus 2" Step III-Mark a sweeping curve to connect the two "X"'s. Step IV-cut along sweeping curve

Mongol Pattern, step 5-sewing part 1 Step I-unfold fabric, which should look like the image to the left. Step II-place two pieces of fabric, right sides together and sew down each gentle curve.

Mongol Pattern, Step 6-sewing part 2 Step I-Keeping right sides together, rearrange fabric so that it matches the image to the left. (the upper dotted line is the seam made in step 5) Step II-with on seam sew up one pant leg and down the the other. You will need to reinforced the crotch with extra stitches. Step III-Try on the pants before hemming, make any alterations. |

Step II-Roll hem the waist and hems Step III-thread drawstring through the waist Step IV-roll hem the pant leg cuffs.
